My engagement ring is a part of a set; the rings are supposed to fit flush together. When my fiance ordered my engagement ring, the wedding band was not available to order, so he went ahead and ordered only the engagement ring. I had to send it back to resize it to a 1/2 size smaller, and when I got it back, the back of the ring definitely looked like it had been sized. It was thinner than the rest of the ring. Later, when my fiance ordered my wedding band, I got it and put both rings on and they do not fit together like they are supposed to! If you take them off of your hand and hold them together where they are supposed to fit, you can clearly see that one ring is bigger than the other one in circumference. So, they are not even the SAME SIZE! I had to send BOTH my rings back to them, so that they could tell me what they can do to fix the problem, and they called back and said they can put a NOTCH behind my diamond, and that would make them fit together. EXCUSE ME, WHAT!? I told them that was not acceptable, and they needed to make my engagement ring the same size as my wedding band or take the diamond off and remount it to the correct size ring. They need to FIX THE PROBLEM! They kept saying something about, “Oh, it’s because of the type of diamond on this setting, or the prongs, things like that… but those things have nothing to do with the fact that my rings are TWO DIFFERENT SIZES. The prongs do not get in the way at all. I am getting married in THREE weeks! I am so upset about this. I am probably not going to have my rings for my wedding, and if I do, they will be screwed up, and the pictures will not look good. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BLUE NILE! This is something that I plan to wear for the rest of my life, and my fiance paid a lot of money for, and Blue Nile can’t even give us two matching rings.
