When it comes to wedding proposals, if you haven’t discussed it with your beloved in advance, you might want to consider popping the question in a quiet, romantic location with no one around to witness any potential problems. Here’s some heartbreaking and hilarious proposals that went incredibly wrong:
1. Basketball Diaries – The only ring that should be on a basketball court is the hoop the ball goes through. This poor guy humiliates himself in front of a televised game and gets no sympathy or respect from the players.
2. Sexual Harassment – When your bride to be threatens sexual harassment if you continue on with the proposal, salvage your dignity and walk away. But this guy goes back for more abuse, egged on by a not so nice friend.
3. You’re not welcomed to the family – Just because your girl invites you to family dinner doesn’t necessarily mean she wants to tie the knot. If you love her family so much, buy them a barbecue but save the ring for someone who won’t go running out of the room.
4. Thank God it wasn’t Prime Time – When your on National Television isn’t the time to get rejected by your girl. That I don’t understand is why this guy didn’t have a Plan B the second he saw the look on his girls face when he got on her knees. I would have told a joke and yelled “Gotcha!”
5. Turn that OFF – Being at the top of the world, or the top of the Empire State Building isn’t always enough to get the girl. Hopefully, she’s just camera shy and what happens when the frame goes black is better than what happened when the tape was rolling.
6. Say Anything…But Marry Me – In case this guy forgot, John Cusack didn’t get the girl either. She went off to college. And if you’re filming a memorable moment, try lighting things up a bit more and facing the camera. Butt shots are better in shows like Girls Gone Wild.
